The month of lord Shiva , Sawan has begun and today is the first Somvar of Sawan month. According to Hindu religion calendar Sawan month comes after the month of Ashad.
The first Somvar is significant day in the month of Sawan. In the beliefs of Hindu religion, Sawan month considered as an auspicious month for all devotees of lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is very kind to their all devotees. In the Hindu rituals Lord Shiva consider as a creator and destroyer of whole universe.
Importance of First Somvar of Sawan- The month of Sawan is holy and auspicious time for all the devotees of Lord Shiva. On the first Somvar many devotees observed fasts for their Lord Shiva. In the morning the devotees go to temple and they offer milk and water to Lord Shiva and then many devotees on this holy time donate to needy ones and resolve to help others. In the evening the devotees open their fasts (Vrth). After they worshipped to God Shiva for prosperity and success and a peace environment. In the hindu rituals the kheer (sweet dish) is must for offer to Lord Shiva on Sawan month. Lord Shiva full fill the the well wishes to his all devotees.
