Captain Vikram Batra was born on 9 September 1974 in Himachal Pradesh. Still his parents said that we will always feel proud to our son's martyred. Captain Vikram was very close to his mother. Whenever he used to ho anywhere or do to something new then he always used to give priority his mother. He had a obsessed to join Indian Army. Since 1997 he had got selection in Indian Army as a lieutenant at the age of 22. He had joined 13 JAK infantry as a lieutenant and Under the 2 year of service he became Captain in his infantry.
Captain Vikram Batra's martyred honoured with the Indian Highest Military decoration "Param Vir Chakra". He was matryred on this day after liberating the Kargil area of Pakistan. The Pakistani army gave him a tittle for his bravery. Captain Vikram Batra also known as The lion of Kargil War.
