Visvesvaraya was awarded the India highest civilian award 'Bharat Ratna' in 1955 for his great dedication to India like India's early infrastructure development, education and social welfare.

Folk Talk About Sir M. VISVESVARAYA Life: Basically Sir M. Visvesvaraya belonged to south India. He was born on 15 September 1861 at Chikkaballapur in Mysore's Kollar district. He belonged to a Telugu family. His parents were also well-educated personalities. His father Mr Shrinivas Shastri was a scholar of Sanskrit's and healthcare of Ayurved. His mother name was Venkachamma. Since his childhood, he used to belong to a peaceful and educated atmosphere. He passed his primary education from his birthplace. Then he was admitted to the Central College of Bangalore. Since 1881 he passed his B.Graduation with first division. After that, he shifted to Science college at Pune for engineering study with the help of Mysore's government. After that, he climbed many stairs of success. In 1883 he got the first position in many competitive exams like L.C.E and F.C.E . After seeing the achievements Maharashtra's government gave him an intern post of engineers.
Sir M. Visvesvaraya has also known for his success in India's hydro projects. With the smart work journey of his life, he gave many inspirational things for us. Krishnaraj Sagar Dam, Bhadravati Iron and Steelworks, Mysore Sandal, Oil and Soap Factory, Mysore University, and Bank of Mysore these all successfully founded by Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Sir M. Visvesvaraya is an institution to himself. He is the main cause of success to many multi automobile and aircraft companies. In 1962 on 14 April the great saint of success said goodbye to the world.
